Every October, the world turns pink in recognition of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Behind the ribbons, campaigns and conversations are real people, families and communities whose lives have been affected by breast cancer.

This year, Kidsville is taking that message a step further.

On Saturday, 31st October 2026, PINK X: MORE THAN JUST AWARENESS brings a special community health, wellness and entertainment experience to Untamed Empire, Accra, creating a space where education meets action, families connect and conversations about breast health become opportunities for meaningful support.

Pink X is built around a simple but powerful message: understanding breast cancer is important, but encouraging early screening, improving access to care and supporting those affected can make a lasting difference.

Through health education, accessible screening services and community participation, the initiative seeks to help more people take practical steps toward protecting their health.

MEET THE PINK X AMBASSADOR

Leading the campaign as its official ambassador is Naa Ashorkor Esq., celebrated Ghanaian media personality, actress and lawyer.

Her involvement brings a recognizable public voice to a cause that affects individuals and families across Ghana, helping encourage conversations about early detection, prevention, health education and support for people living with breast cancer.

WHAT'S HAPPENING AT PINK X?

Health Screenings

Visitors will have access to free health screening opportunities, including breast cancer screening, dental checks, eye screening and skin screening.

These services support the event's mission of promoting early detection and encouraging individuals to make informed decisions about their health.

Live Conversations and Health Education

The programme includes health discussions and educational conversations addressing breast cancer awareness, screening, early detection and the importance of seeking appropriate medical care.

Games and Family Activities

Pink X is designed as a welcoming community experience, with interactive games, play areas and recreational activities for both children and adults.

Music and Entertainment

Music and entertainment will form part of the programme, creating an enjoyable atmosphere while keeping the event's health and wellness message at the center of the experience.

TURNING AWARENESS INTO SUPPORT

A defining part of Pink X 2026 is the organisers' commitment to helping people affected by breast cancer beyond the event itself.

Working with healthcare partners, the initiative aims to facilitate treatment support for three clinically selected people affected by breast cancer, connecting awareness activities with practical assistance.

This approach reflects the campaign's commitment to making a meaningful difference through education, early detection and support.

A DAY FOR THE WHOLE COMMUNITY

Pink X is not reserved for a particular age group or background.

Families, students, professionals, health advocates, survivors, caregivers and members of the public are invited to participate.

Whether attending for a screening, joining an educational conversation, enjoying the family activities or showing support for the cause, every participant becomes part of a larger message.
